Creating Freedom in your life
Creating freedom is what we are all seeking. Whether it is freedom from finances, overeating or thoughts, in one way or another everyone wants to be free.
The question is, “How can we find freedom”?
I feel we put a lot of pressure on ourselves. In the past I was really hard on myself. I always felt I should be more productive. Even now from time to time it creeps up on me. But through my spiritual practice I have learned to quiet my mind, love myself and be softer with how I speak. I am more encouraging now, telling myself I am right where I am supposed to be. Become your own cheerleader.
Living in the present moment helps with creating freedom. If there was no past or future to worry about and we could focus on the now, life would be much better for us all.
So, how do we do that?
Well one way is to breathe. This may seem too simple but it works. When my mind starts running I touch my ear and breathe. I touch my ear to distract my mind and I breathe to get back in the moment. Try it right now and see what happens.
Once we have let go of our minds and become present to the moment then what?
Well, we then have the opportunity to become open to endless possibilities. We can tune into spirit and find what truly makes us happy.
We will feel connected and truly at peace.
